Review policy

Product ratings and shopping experiences are different things. We keep them separate.

Product ratings from the web

This label identifies ratings collected by an external service, not reviews from buyers in our stores. The score, on a scale of 1 to 5, and the number of ratings describe the product, not our service, delivery or seller.

We match the identifier of the selected product or publication edition (EAN, GTIN or ISMN) to the identifier displayed by the source. A similar name is not enough. We exclude known identity conflicts. Source services may group product versions; identifier matching does not independently verify how the source aggregates ratings. We do not combine different sources or add these numbers to our buyers’ ratings.

Updates and verification

The score and count reflect the source at the date listed below. They are not updated in real time. We hide records older than 30 days until checked again, as well as records with an uncertain product match. Absence of stars does not mean a zero rating.

We do not verify whether external reviewers bought or used the product. Matching an identifier is not purchase verification. The source service describes its own collection and verification methods.

Our buyers’ reviews

Reviews collected directly by our stores form a separate set. An external rating is never marked as a verified purchase in our store.
